Children’s Organ Transplant Association ® Join COTA today to help make miracles for children!

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association -- COTA -- is a 501(c)3 national charity dedicated to raising funds for transplant-needy patients. COTA’s priority is to assure that no child or young adult is denied a transplant due to lack of funds. Children’s Organ Transplant Association

100% of all funds raised in honor of patients are used for transplant-related expenses. Children’s Organ Transplant Association

COTA has served more than 1,900 children and young adults in 49 states. More than 200,000 people have volunteered and made gifts to help these families. Liam Houck’s dad is an active- duty Marine pilot and his mom is a retired Air Force pilot.

We call these individuals and organizations Miracle Makers, as they help us Give Hope...and Make Miracles. Young Gabriel Broghammer was highlighted in the December 2009 American Legion Magazine with his active duty father, Air Force service-member, Don! Children’s Organ Transplant Association

For 25 years, members of The American Legion family has provided generous support for COTA – and has also contributed thousands of hours volunteering to help transplant patients and families. In 2012, COTA patient Malachi Sherck is highlighted in the Child Welfare Foundation video. Children’s Organ Transplant Association

For more than two decades, New Jersey Legionnaires have placed COTA coin collection canisters across the state. Efforts have resulted in more than $100, pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters -- for COTA children. Each of the 21 New Jersey Children & Youth Post Chairs manages a COTA ‘jug’. Every six weeks, the donations are sent to the Department office to COTA to help make a miracle for New Jersey children. Children’s Organ Transplant Association

Department of Florida In the past several years, Dennis Boland and the Department of Florida hosted COTA kids -- and Chloe Novak had her heart transplant just two months later! Children’s Organ Transplant Association

2009/10 Department of Ohio Commander, Lou Dimmerman, challenged Ohio Legionnaires to contribute 50 cents to COTA kids. At the end of the year, this was more than $31,000 raised. Children’s Organ Transplant Association

2011/12 Department of New York Auxiliary President, Ann Geer, challenged state Auxilians to raise $50,000 for COTA kids in New York – and they surpassed the goal!
