Ben: Actually, he is my classmate. Betty: Oh really? And what about you? What are you hobbies? Are you into sports as my brother? Ben: Not really, I like reading and going to movies. What about you? Betty: So do I. I like comedies and horrors. We might go to the cinema together some time. What do you think? Ben: That sounds good. I´ll call you when something interesting is on. Betty: Great. Nice talking to you. Ben: See you.

Question tags  Use: When we want someone to confirm the information we are giving.  Form: Auxiliary verb (do, have, would, can, etc.) or the verb to be + subject  ! When the sentence is ………………………………., we use ………………………..question tag!  !When the sentence is ………………………………., we use ……………………………question tag!

Examples  You are his friend, aren´t you?  He doesn´t live in the UK, does he?  We have already sent it, haven´t we?  You didn´t stay at home, did you?  He passed all his exams, didn´t he?  You weren´t there, were you?  He can´t swim, can he?  She likes chocolate, doesn´t she?

Punctuation  We use …………….. before the question tag and ………………… after it. You play ice-hockey, don´t you?
