Practice for the next week: Tuesday 1/27 – ◦ Interpers will do character development with Wilson. ◦ Info will work with Evenson on visuals. ◦ OO and Great Speeches will work on either refining, or practicing with each other.

Tomorrow: Bus leaves at 7:30 Final Rounds for Varsity Only Novice (except Draws and Discussion) will be housed in a separate building and bussed over after their rounds. Novice first round will be 8:30. Shuttle to the HS for lunch and final rounds is at 11:20. Coaches at the Site will be Wilson and TenEyck Draws Meeting will begin at 8:15. We will be back to the HS around 5:15-5:30

Things to remember: Speech is a competition of performance and impression. You are dressed in business formal attire. Act accordingly. A speech competition is not a basketball game. When you are in a round, do not do anything that might distract from another’s performance: ◦ Keep your hands off of waterbottles, papers, clothing, etc. ◦ Watch the pieces in your round. Do not use the time to read, look over your piece, study your shoes, the ceiling, or anything other than the speaker’s face. ◦ Draw categories will stay to watch the other competitors who come after them in the round, unless the room does not accommodate them. ◦ Only excuse yourself if there’s an absolute emergency.

Speecher of the Week No Nominations

Mock Tournament When we arrive at a tournament – you will follow your captains to the common area. Ben will make sure that Bridget (PA) and Leslie (Interp) have everyone’s codes and critique sheets. Fill out your critique sheets and find your rooms. Talk to a wall / warm up before first round. Today your round starts at 3:45
