DON’T LITTER BABY! Dropping litter is a crime so put your rubbish in the bin!

DON’T LITTER BABY! Fruit waste such as apple cores or banana skins will take up to two years to rot away. A rolled up newspaper can take up to 10 years to rot away. Supermarket plastic bags can last between 10 and 20 years and will slowly break up into small pieces, but even these never really go away. Nappies will probably last for 100 years or more, and some parts will never rot away. Glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, plastic trays, yoghurt pots, etc will NEVER EVER rot away.

DON’T LITTER BABY Every year animal and wildlife charities such as the RSPCA and RSPB rescue and treat animals that have been trapped and injured by litter. They can be: Cut by sharp cans or broken glass Strangled by plastic multi-pack drinks can holders Suffocated inside plastic bags Killed by swallowing balloons Trapped inside cans, bottles and plastic bags Choked on plastics or other litter

Don’t litter baby! STOP! Collaborate and listen, Picking up litter’s the aim and mission. Litter! It just ain’t funny, Just messes up the place, And its bad for the bunnies. Don’t litter baby! So pick it up, The paper on the floor, Sweet wrappers, cartons, And so much more. Take care, and don’t be a fool. Don’t litter baby! It’s the ECO RULE!

Poster Competition Design a poster to put up in the school to encourage everyone to put their rubbish in the bin. You can do this over the school holidays. The winner will be chosen by the Eco-warriors and will receive an AWESOME PRIZE!
