CONCRETE NOUNS vs. ABSTRACT NOUNS You experience concrete nouns through your five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Possessive Nouns Nouns that show ownership or possession. They can be singular possessive or plural possessive. Singular possessive – The car’s bumper had a large dent. Plural possessive – Many cars’ bumpers had large dents.
