Dictation practice 6th Form Ms Cecilia
Schools in Japan Japanese high school students spend 240 days a year at school- that’s forty-five days more than in the UK! Classes are large with about students in each class.
At the end of the school day, all students take part in o soji- they sweep the classrooms and corridors, empty rubbish bins, clean the blackboards and pick up litter outside the school. Then, the after-school clubs begin.
When the school year begins in April, new students join a club. Clubs meet for two hours after school each day and many continue in the school holidays. The senior students organise the clubs, and the juniors have to help them.
END For example, when the seniors are playing tennis, the juniors have to watch them and collect the tennis balls and they can only play when the seniors finish!
