 Background ◦ As a regional media and communications organization that works to empower the most marginalized and vulnerable persons in the region, Panos Caribbean helps journalists to cover sustainable development issues that are overlooked and misunderstood. ◦ The Internet and new Social media such as twitter, facebook and youtube are key components of Panos’ media and communications portfolio. ◦ Panos is seeking to upgrade and enhance it’s web presence and develop information management platforms in order to provide more effective mechanisms for online database repositories, web-based information dissemination and training, and a variety of audiovisual and data visualization capabilities.
