I Will Honor God in Worship Mark 3:1-5

“Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath” Mark 3:1-2

Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone. Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.” Mark 3:3-4

“He looked around at them in anger and deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.” Mark 3:5

Don’t ever miss what God has for you when you come to His House of worship

Worship God With Great Faith

We should maintain a hopeful spirit of expectancy when you enter the house of worship

Remain Silent When God Reveals the Error of Our Ways

Mark 3:4 “Then Jesus asked them, Which is lawful on the Sabbath; to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill? But they remained silent”

Remember: God’s commands and principles are written for your benefit.

“this is the love for God that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3

The true test of love is obeying the your Lord

Honor the Holy Spirit’s Role in Worship

“And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his Love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:5

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord” Zechariah 4:6

1.The Holy Spirit is our teacher.

2.God accomplishes his work in us through the Spirit.

When we worship together we surrender the experience to the will of the One who alone is worthy of worship

Worship will glorify Jesus Christ, the true God and Savior of man

Worship will provide access into God’s presence

Worship will elicit the manifestation of God’s goodness

Psalm 29:2 “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.”
