HR-676

Retirees dedicated to the passage of National Health Care (HR-676)

We are for the conversion of all health care providers to a not-for-profit service where illness is no longer a source of wealth for a few. NON-PROFIT HEALTH CARE

Did you know?  Half of all personal bankruptcies and one third of all credit card debt is caused by illness or medical bills.  Over 30% of every healthcare dollar is spent on administrative overhead in private insurance compared to just 3.2% in Medicare administrative costs.

Retirees for Single Payer Health Care Our mission is to educate, demonstrate, and learn. OUR MISSION

THE MARCH for HR-676

Congressman John Conyers, Jr. has vowed to keep introducing HR- 676 “The United States National Health Care Act” or “Expanded & Improved Medicare for All” as long as he is a member of Congress. The 535 members of the Senate and House are the only people in this country who can make it the law. LOBBYING

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED? In the UAW, it appears that a business union is declining and a social activist union is rising as a result of the economic crisis.

WE ARE MOVING FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT The industry of medicine will nickel-and- dime us to death. Who said, “A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down”? Is there even money leftover for sugar? Today, a drug cocktail is needed, but who can afford it?
