Plan your campaign Gather together a campaign team Slates must submit one together Meet to plan your campaign DO NOT Campaign before 9am, 18 th February Spend your allocated money Bring receipts to me after election DO NOT spend your own money

Campaigning rules and regs Declare all online material Refrain from commenting on other candidates Abide by: SU Constitution and Bye-Laws University Regulations The Law Do not endanger others

Campaigning rules and regs Brief your own campaign team Do not use the SU website (Student Groups) Get permission before going into halls Adhere to the exclusion zones at Park and Avenue No canvassing in any SU meetings No canvassing at SU Student Group training/events/meetings

Campaigning rules and regs All photocopying must be done at the SU, at a cost of 5p per one side of B/W A4 paper Remove your campaign materials! Recycle them where possible.

Appeals Returning Officer (member of NUS staff) makes final decision based on their interpretation Requests for explanations through DRO Investigation by RO DRO can impose the following sanctions Verbal/Written warning Fine on campaigning budget Restrict publicity allowance Disqualify candidate Take any other action they see fit

Appeals Must do so within 48 hours/1 hour of ballot opening (whichever is sooner) Appeals must be directed to the RO All rulings will be posted to the SU website, please consult this regularly.
