Trends Overall, the rate of students not meeting required criteria has increased over the past three years; specifically in black students, students with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged students. Our most critical subject areas include: Math and Reading/ELA. Evidence of SWD exceeding in certain areas of the test. Strong student attendance. Substantial test participation.

Implications Ineffective use of previous data – Decline of Math scores should have been identified sooner and plan of action should have been implemented to help solve this problem. Sub-groups have not been targeted effectively. – Implementation of differentiated instruction, best practices, and professional learning can improve Tier 1 instruction.

Strategies and Solutions for Improvement Professional learning – GPS/Tier 1 instruction – Increased differentiation – Increased student-centered learning Scheduling of Math instruction Additional highly qualified Math teachers Common assessments in Math Increased focus on Math literacy Real-world applications of content Build motivation among teachers and students

Our Main Focus: Professional Learning Communities that address our strategies and solutions for improvement in Tier 1 instruction.
