10Wednesday, June 13, 2001S.12 Care and Use Requirements for PLC4TRUCKS Diagnosing The Trailer PLC Network Pre-Check – Confirm You are Using an Approved Power Supply*, You Have Sufficient Voltage to All Components and that the Trailer ABS Supports PLC4TRUCKS Step 1 – Connect Power Supply to the PLC/J1708 Adapter in “Tractor Mode” and To the Trailer Nosebox The PLC and J1708 LED’s Should Flash Indicating that the Trailer ABS has PLC4TRUCKS Capability and it is Functioning Normally. »If the LED’s flash and the “ABS Lamp” doesn’t light, you are done. »If the LED’s do not flash at all, proceed to step 2. »If the LED’s flash and the “ABS Lamp” LED lights, there is a Trailer ABS fault. Proceed to step 3. *Consult Your Trailer ABS Manufacturer
