Influential People

Where do I begin my research? Ask questions!

–WHO is my person? Think to yourself: How might I explain to a stranger who my person is? What is the MOST IMPORTANT information? Beliefs, personality traits

–WHAT is the big deal? Think to yourself: Why is my person well- known? Why is my person considered “influential”?

–HOW did my person become who he or she is? Think to yourself: What is my person’s background and is it important? What goals did my person have? What achievements has my person accomplished? Setbacks, awards

–WHEN did my person become influential? Think to yourself: At what point in time did my person become “a big deal”?

Lets do an example together! Who knows who Ken Carter is? Who has seen Coach Carter? Lets watch a clip so we all know…

WHO is Ken Carter? WHAT is the big deal? HOW did he become who he is? WHEN did he become influential?
