Just a few short days ago: An article appeared in the Journal of Medical Ethics titled, “After-Birth Abortion: Why Should the Baby Live?”

This account implies that it is not even pro tanto morally wrong to kill patients who are universally and irreversibly disabled, because they have no abilities to lose.

Why does this matter? A person's philosophy of human life and his origins will inevitably determine sooner or later what he believes concerning his destiny. It will shape what he believes about the meaning and purpose of his life and will therefore affect his behavior in the present world.
