Laurel Kenerson & Jennifer Murphy | Page #8 © 2010 Blackbaud Support Roundtable: The Raiser’s Edge Weekly Wrap-Up Error: Word cannot start the converter Mswrd632.wpc or Error: Method ~ of object ~ failed when running mail merges You may experience this error when performing a mail merge after applying Microsoft Security Update KB if Microsoft Office 2007 is installed.Microsoft Security Update KB The Windows security update (KB973904), released on December 8, 2009, changed the way that Windows and third-party components can use the WordPad-to-Word 6.0 converter.KB To correct this error, you will need to either uninstall the Microsoft Update, KB973904, or re-enable the converter by editing registry.  To uninstall KB973904: 1.Go to Start>Control Panel 2.Open Add/Remove Programs 3.Mark the Show Updates checkbox at the top of the screen 4.Browse to Windows - Software Updates 5.Look for Security Update KB Click Remove

To retrieve your user name:  On the Log In screen, click 'Need your User Name?'  In the field, enter your address and click Submit  If the address you entered is in our records, we will send you an with your User Name. The also includes a link to reset your password, if applicable.  If the address you entered is not in our records, the following message will appear: We were unable to find your information. Retype your Address and click Submit. If you need further assistance, contact us.contact us To reset your password:  On the Log In screen, click 'Need your Password?'  In the User Name field, enter your website User Name. If you do not know your user name, follow the instructions above.  Click Submit  We'll display the address associated with your User Name and ask you to confirm it. If the address is not yours, click Back in your browser to enter a different User Name. If the address is yours, click Submit. You'll receive an with a link to reset your Password.  Click the link in the to open the Reset your Password web page.
