WHEN TO DEBUG Before and After Patient contact, including touching lines attached to the patient. If you attend to monitor alarms, IMED pumps, or other equipment remember to DeBug before you attend to the patient again

WHEN TO DEBUG Before and After Activities such as; IV/ Arterial access Opening a closed circuit (IDC, N/G) Suctioning Giving IMI or S/C Needles Wound Care Toilet care

WHEN TO DEBUG Before and After Activities such as; Preparing Medication (infusions, IV drugs) Glove use Before donning Sterile Gloves

GLOVES REMEMBER Gloves are not a substitute for hand hygiene One pair of gloves for a specific activity (i.e. blood gases), then remove. DeBug after glove use
