Methodology 95% response to at least one survey 87% Prevention Coordinators 76% of Leadership (Executive Directors) Similar to 2010 survey based on 2007 & 2009 surveys
“Remarkable shift” Moving beyond raising awareness -> Shifting cultural norms and stopping rape
Defining prevention Three main ways in which CA RPE grantees defined their prevention work: 1. Raising awareness 2. Shifting rape culture 3. Stopping rape before it happens
Strategies
Bystander empowerment (17% difference) Engaging boys and men (16% difference) Engaging youth (14% difference)
Comprehensive services
