How you probably feel right now…How I want you to feel…

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

* Who said this? In this case the speaker is Henry David Thoreau—Am. Author Known for-transcendentalism movement (Transcendentalism is an American literary, political, and philosophical movement of the early nineteenth century, a move away from conventional religious practices and beliefs)

* In this case, there isn’t a story, but rather a connection to the ideals and values of transcendentalism. What is happening in the story when the quote is being said?

* What does the quote mean, what does it reveal about the characters, & any symbols, themes, conflicts, etc.? * Here, Thoreau is merely reminding people to live the way in which they imagine living; that one must do so confidently, with no regret. In acting confidently, one will not allow others to stand in between what goals and achievements they have in mind. “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

* What does this quote mean TO YOU? * Follow through with your ambitions and dreams without letting anyone else get in your way.

Henry David Thoreau, known as one of the founding fathers of transcendentalism, provides some words of wisdom that serve as a reminder that one should follow their dreams without being withheld from the influence of others. Thoreau is merely reminding people to live the way in which they imagine living; that one must do so confidently, with no regret. In acting confidently, one will not allow others to stand in between what goals and achievements they have in mind. When the path and dreams are clear, do not allow others to detract from the life envisioned.
