VISIT IN TURKEY

 We all admired the school from Nazilli, the working conditions offered to the students and to the teaching staff, the way of presenting the partner’s countries through informative panels.

 We enjoyed the wonderful artistic programme sustained by students, showing the music and the dance from your region and we have been pleasantly surprised to recognize, in Turkish students’ interpretation our nation dance Brasoveanca.

 From that first day, inside the school, we were introduced in the theme of our project by visiting the exhibition of craftsmanship, which was showing the great art of the local people.

 As a matter of fact, during the four days of visit, the hosts guided us through numerous ethnographical museums, that consolidated our knowledge about traditional trades of Turkish people, they urged us to reflections as we saw the similarities and the differences between our peoples, the common cultural dowry, the refreshed the knowledge we acquired in school.

 The real history, culture and museology lessons were the visits to the archeological and historical sites and museums from Efes, Afrodisias and Hierapolis, famous in the entire world, overwhelming because of their greatness.

 The Turkish hosts took care to show us the complexity of the civilization in their region by visiting some religious (Christian and Muslim) units, by making us familiar with national and local heroes, with the founders of modern Turkey. On this occasion the Romanian team found how similar our peoples are when talking about basic problems as faith and freedom, but also how much our history was interweaved with yours.

 During the whole visit we were joined by a very kind and efficient teaching staff and the Turkish students made the 5 Romanian students to feel like home. The activities they carried on together especially the initiation in Ebru technique, the discussions and the interchange of impressions brought them together and paved the way to future friendships.

 We were all impressed with the welcome we, the Comenius delegation received from the official people of the town and of the area, with the kindness and the hospitality they proved, with the attention and the support granted to the school. We were surprised to see how much people know about Comenius projects, are involved in them proving the issue of the dissemination made by the Turkish team.

 The discussions we had in the last day of our meeting aimed at the final evaluation of the project, the degree of coming up to the targets and the stage of achievement of the final products.

 We separated, both from the hosts but also from the other partners with the regret that it had been the last meeting of the project, but having the satisfaction for meeting each others and for working successfully together.  We thank again to the Turkish hosts for their kindness, for their good organization of the visit, for the wonderful things they showed to us.
