LOVE AND MARRIAGE *PUT EITHER AN “A” FOR AGREE OR A “D” FOR DISAGREE ON YOUR PAPER 1.A woman/man who never marries can’t find happiness. 2.People CHOOSE to be single. 3.Two people must have similar social and socio-economic backgrounds in order to marry. 4.Two people who argue a lot can have a happy relationship. Discuss with a partner:  What should two people know about BEFORE marrying each other?  How has the woman’s role changed since Shakespearean times in both marriage and courtship (dating)? The man’s role?

GENDER ROLES DISCUSS:  What is the “ideal” woman?  What is the “ideal” man?  How have gender roles changed since Shakespearean times?

APPEARANCE VS. REALITY DISCUSS:  When do people tend to hide “behind a mask”?  What are some reasons someone might lie to someone?  Is deception every acceptable? Why or why not? If so, give some situations where it is acceptable.

LOYALTY AND SLANDER 1.What is loyalty? What does it “look” like? (towards friends, family, lovers) 2.What is betrayal? Is it ever acceptable to betray someone? Why or why not? Give a situation if it is acceptable. 3.DEFINE Slander. What harm does it do?
