According to historical records from which historians found, Arduino was Donato’s first apprentice. But the weird thing is, Arduino and Donato were not like normal Master- Apprentice relationships, they were also true friends. The beginning of this is a long story. At first, both Arduino and Donato were apprentices of a talented artist ---Maestro Cosimo. He was a jealous man, when he found out the extraordinary talent of Donato, he left Donato imprisoned. For fourteen months, Donato was stuck in the attic. He had handcuffs on his hands, chains on his ankles. He was only able to eat some leftover food. He was locked in a place full of darkness and silence. Fourteen months is a very long time. Many people got mad just because staying in that kind of place for only one month! But Donato didn’t. He lived with a peaceful heart and courage. He told Arduino that he never gave up hope, which is very admiring.

Now back to Arduino. At that time, Arduino was just a boy with no self-confidence. Because of curious, he found out the secret of Donato and became friends with him. And starting from that time, Donato helped him learnt the right to face his own advantages, and encouraged him. So when the Maestro was too ill to finish the duke’s commission, Arduino became brave enough to stand up to the Maestro for Donato and trying to set him free. He was loyalty to Donato. And so was Donato. He helped Arduino to get back to the studio when Arduino was misunderstood by the Maestro. And at last, Donato became the Maestro of the studio, Arduino became his apprentice. And both of them became great Renaissance artists.

We have to have courage. No matter what kind of difficult solutions we are facing, we should never give up our hope. Be loyalty to our friends are what true friends do. Never betray your friends. Help them when they need you, encourage them when they need you, and please trust them when they believe you. Achieve the freedom of mind. Although we might have to obey some rules, but never give up your belief of freedom. Trust that we can have the chance to chase our dreams and make them come true.
