 Writing an introduction is like greeting someone  The paragraph should be short  You don’t want to get to the “meat” of the essay  Give your audience a concise idea of your essay’s purpose

Incorrect- Rachel was embarrassed when the teacher insists the sweater is Rachel’s. Correct- Rachel is embarrassed when the teacher insists the sweater is Rachel’s.
