Monkey Eating Eagle  This bird is one of the most fast & powerful birds. It is also one of the rarest. Another word for it is Philippine Eagle. Without other predators this made the eagles the dominant hunter in the Philippine forests. Each breeding pair needs a large home to successfully raise a chick. But with deforestation how will they? This bird is also the national bird of the Philippines.

How will not having this organism affect the environment?  Well this bird is needed because it balances the environment by eating animals that there may be to many of. So if we take an animal out of our ecosystem it stops balancing the earth.

How does having this organism affect the environment?  Well for our farmers it will affect their livestock.  Also if it kills to many organisms then that will also throw things off balance. 

What is being done to protect this animal ?  In the Philippines you can get up to twelve years in jail and fined.  It is fully protected by the law and zoo’s can’t capture them. A lot of many has been invested on this birds from the U.S. and Europe. In the Philippines there is a program to help them in Mindanao called PECP.  They are also given some laws so that hunters can not hunt them or so that people can not build buildings in their habitats. 

What needs to be done to increases the number of organisms in the environment?  Well there is an organization that is founded on trying to breed this birds called Philippines Eagle Conservation Program.  There is also a law so that hunters hunt less of them

How did this organism become endangered or extinct?  Hunters  Deforestation  Buildings  Pollution
