Zoo Keeping By Destiny

What I would like to know…. Questions What is your favorite animal to work with? How long have you worked at the zoo? How did you get started in this career? Do you need any special education? Answers Penguins 9 years She was transferred here from her home town. Today you do have to have two years but when she started you didn’t have to have any

Zookeeper Duties Before the visit I thought zookeepers… Train animals to not attack the zoo keepers. Feed the animals and play with them Cleaned up after the animals After the visit I learned zookeepers… Care for the animals (give them medicine, care for them, and feed them.) Teach the children about the animals in the zoo Have 800 animals to take care of (all 8 zoo keepers have their own section to care for)

Zoo Visit Reflection I was most surprised by how many animals there are in the Watertown zoo. I would not like a zoo related career because I don’t like being near animals that are dangerous or will hurt me. My favorite part of the zoo visit was going into the monkey house and seeing how they rotate the animals from cage to cage.

Fun at Architecture/Construction Camp By Student Destiny

What I did at Architecture/Construction Camp At camp we got to go run a bull dozer and we learned how to use navigation systems. We also learned how to screw a screw into wood. Cutting the sheet rock was interesting to learn also.

Architecture/Construction Camp Reflection I was surprised by how confusing it is to control a bull dozer. My favorite activity at camp was knocking the balls off the cones because I liked the joy sticks in the bull dozer. I would like to pursue a career in the Architecture/Construction related cluster because its fun to operate big machines.
