Limolus Amoebocytic Lysate Test (LAL Test) is a premier method to detect the lipopolysaccharides (LPS) called endotoxins in Gram negative bacterial cell wall and has a wide spread industrial application, especially in pharmaceutical industry. High concentration of lipopolysaccharides in pharmaceutical preparations like antibiotics etc may have severe health problems such as: pyrogenecity, change in blood composition and shock.
