Don’t Make Me Go There!

Luke 8:22-25 King James Version (KJV) 22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. 23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Who>What>Where & Why! Let = we must yield and allow. Us = God & You (fellowship)(relationship) Go = mobility (forward progress) Over to = On top of trouble and instability (transition) The other side of = destined place or location (Where miracles happen) The Lake = platform (experience & journey)

Our Thinking Capacity Must Expand! Often times we suffer loss not because God is unable to perform what he has promised but because our thinking capacity along with our faith, has not been enlarged to match the ability of our God. Old ideologies facing new challenges are often defeated because the old seeks to preserve what is old but the new always forces the need for advancement.

Luke 5:36-39 King James Version (KJV) 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.

38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. 39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

John 3:16-17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

Ephesians 3:17-21 Amplified Bible (AMP) 17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!
