Southeast Conservation Planning Atlas (CPA) Steering Committee March 19, 2013

The South Atlantic LCC Mission: Create a shared blueprint for landscape conservation actions that sustain natural and cultural resources

The South Atlantic LCC What is the Blueprint? An interactive, living plan that describes the places and actions needed to meet the SALCC’s conservation priorities in the face of future change

The South Atlantic LCC Mission forces that drive change To achieve our Mission, we need to be able to understand and model the forces that drive change on the landscape spatial models foundation With that in mind, your LCC is supporting development of spatial models that will form the foundation of our blueprint Urban Growth Sea Level Rise Flow Alterations

The South Atlantic LCC spatial models The outputs from those spatial models are now becoming available integrate blueprint Your LCC is working to integrate these models into the bigger context of the blueprint Your LCC is also working to make the these data available to all the partners Urban Growth Sea Level Rise Flow Alterations

The South Atlantic LCC Conservation Planning Atlas (CPA) The South Atlantic Conservation Planning Atlas (CPA) is the place where you can find and explore these spatial data Store Store Import Import Search Search View View Basic Analysis Basic Analysis Now Foundational Spatial Data Soon Blueprint

The South Atlantic LCC The need to share spatial data is not unique to the SALCC.

The Southeast CPA Pilot The need to share spatial data is not unique to the SALCC. Coordinated Effort

The Southeast CPA Pilot Objectives Web-based Platform Casual GIS User Consistent Serving Geospatial Data Find Basic Processing Visualize Remote Services Discover Access Integrate

The Southeast CPA Pilot Considerations existing platform Do not duplicate the good work of others: existing platform easy navigation between geographic areas Do not over-burden users that overlap multiple LCCs: easy navigation between geographic areas users do not need desktop GIS systems Target non-technical users: users do not need desktop GIS systems
