Grace Community Church March 22, 2009 A Steward’s Harvest 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 A Living Sacrifice A Living Sacrifice

2 Corinthians 8:1-2 1 We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. We want the heart of a Macedonian but we are afraid if we move in that direction we will have the bank account of one too…

2 Corinthians 9:6 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. –Proverbs 11:24-25, 19:17, 22:9 –Ecclesiastes 11:1,6 –Luke 6:38 –1 Kings 17:9-16

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:8-9 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”

“The Bible leaves no question about it. God’s people are supposed to be rich. Not just rich in spirit. Not just rich in righteousness, love, joy, peace and the fellowship of God. Not even rich only in relationships and spiritual rewards. God’s people are to be rich— financially wealthy and prosperous in every possible way with plenty of money.” Kenneth Copeland

2 Corinthians 9: He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

2 Corinthians 9: For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13 By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission flowing from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, 14 while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
