Malachi 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”

1 Corinthians 16:1-2 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The number one expression of our love and obedience to God is how we use our money. Our attitude toward money is a major factor that determines how God will bless, or not bless, our lives.

Let’s keep our hearts right! Mark 10:17-22

Mark 10:21-22 Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

What exactly is the “Tithe?”

It is a tenth of one’s income given to God. Tithe means “Tenth” It is a tenth of one’s income given to God. Genesis 28:20-22 Jacob made a vow, saying, "…the LORD shall be my God…and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You."

The Tithe is “Holy to the Lord.” “Holy” means “set apart,” “uncommon” Leviticus 27:30-32 The tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S. It is holy to the LORD. And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the LORD.

The Tithe is “Holy to the Lord.” We don’t give “our” tithe, We pay “the Lord’s” tithe! Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, “In what way have we robbed You?’” In tithes and offerings.

Why does God “want” the tithe?

Tithing proves to God that He is first in our lives! Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the first-fruits of all your increase Deuteronomy 14:22-23 You shall tithe all (your) increase…year by year…that you may learn to fear the LORD your God.

Tithing proves to God that He is first in our lives! 1Corinthians 16:1-2 I have given orders to the churches … so you must do also: On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse

Why does God “want” the tithe?

When we tithe, He can bless our finances!

When we tithe, God can bless our finances! Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the first-fruits of all your increase so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

When we tithe, God can bless our finances! Malachi 3:10-11 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so he will not destroy the fruit of your ground…

When we tithe, God can bless our finances! 2Corinthians 9:6-8 He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

When we tithe, God can bless our finances! Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

When we tithe, God can bless our finances! God blesses faith & obedience! Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Don’t forfeit your blessing! Malachi 3:9
