1. What is your ideal or dream date? 2. What would be (or has been) your worst date? 3. Your first date was…. 4. I think dating should be… Dating is about getting to know each other and getting to know YOURSELF.

 Socialization ◦ To develop appropriate social skills. (use proper communication skills) ◦ To practice getting along with others in different settings. ◦ To learn about yourself and to build confidence.

 Recreation ◦ To have fun and enjoy the companionship of others. ◦ To try new and different activities. ◦ Gain new experiences.

 Mate Selection ◦ To see others in many different settings. ◦ To compare the personality and characteristics of many people. ◦ To learn about the opposite sex. Lightening

 Look at your 4 dating plans and evaluate each of them on the other side of the paper for how they follow, or do not follow, the 3 purposes of dating. ◦ 3=You should write a book on dating ◦ 2=Room for improvement so add some variety ◦ 1=Sad. Your date, and you, deserve better ◦ 0=Why even go on the date?  Could this be why you had the worst date? Explain:  Now Look at your ideal date and adjust it to meet the 3 purposes of dating. Change or add at least 1new idea to better the date.

In boy/girlfriend?  When are you (or have been) most afraid?  What is the one thing you couldn’t live with out?  If you could pick a new first name, what would it be?  If you could change one thing about yourself what would you change?  What’s job would you never want to have?  What is the most important thing in your life?  What are you the most passionate about?  Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?  What is the one thing that people DON’T notice about you that you WISHED they would?  Where do you see yourself and what will you be doing this same time next year?  If you could do anything today, what would it be?  What is your biggest pet peeve (something that bugs you)  What is the best vacation you have ever taken?  If your house was on fire, what is the one thing you would grab on the way out?   What house hold chore do you hate the most?  How many times have you moved?  How long does it take for you to get ready in the morning?  What is your favorite time of year? Why?  Do you put things off until they are due?  On a scale from 1-10, what is generally your “Happiness” level?  Do you arrive early, on time or late?  Who is the best teacher you have ever had and why?  Are you a frugal or impulse buyer?  How often do you exercise? What would you order?  Do you like cartoons?  What is your favorite type of food?  What sport do you enjoy playing?  What sport do you enjoy watching?  What is your favorite Disney movie?  What do you do to cheer yourself up when you are sad?  What possession would you never let anyone borrow?  What makes you laugh?  Are you an early bird or a night owl?  If you could change something that happened to you what would it be?  What do you like to eat for breakfast?  Is your bed made?
