Your going to preach the message As we start the campground, we want to make it a place that invites His presence. I’d like your ideas on how we make that happen

Exodus 25 There was a personal investment into establishing His presence – in Exodus 25, it was valuables. Gold, thread, linens, precious metals In our lives, this personal investment could be:

Things of value Are we willing to sacrifice things of value to invite His presence? So what do we have of value – Time – Do you use your time in a way that invites His presence? How are you doing with those time leaches (TV, Internet, Cell Phones) – Talent – Do you use the gifts God has given you in a way that invites Him into what you do? Do you make those available to Him? – Treasure – Do your dollars support your agenda, or His?

Exodus 26 Are you willing to create a place, a space, or a location that is solely His? Notice from Exodus 26, that the place was designed, articulated, and specified by Him Well Lord, this is where I want to meet with you and these are my terms NO!!!!!!!

Preparation was necessary Leviticus – Washed with water, put the tunic on, girded him with a sash, put on the robe, ephod, girded with the woven band, breastplate applied, put the Urim and Thummin on, turban on, golden plate, holy crown, anointing oil on the tabernacle, sprinkled it on the altar, utensils, laver, base, poured it on Aaron, tunics on the sons, hats on them, slaughtered the sin offering, put the blood on the horns, poured it on the altar, burned the fatty lobe, two kidneys, put the bull outside the camp and burned it, killed the ram, sprinkled more blood, burned parts of the ram, washed the entrails and legs, burned the rest of the ram, brought the second ram, took blood on the right ear, thumb, and big toe, same for the sons, burned the fat, fat tail, entrails, fatty lobe, two kidneys, their fat, right thigh, put unleavened bread with them, waved them as an offering, burned them as an offering, waved the breast as an offerering, took anointing oil and blood and put it on Aaron and his sons, eat some of the flesh as their portion, burn the rest, stay inside for 7 days, on the 8 th day, a whole list of additional sacrifices Then fire came out and consumed the offering

How did others view His presence Job – “Therefore, I am terrified at His presence, When I consider this, I am afraid of Him” – Job 23:15 Unknown – “Come before His presence with singing” – Psalm 100:2 Unknown – “Let us come before His presence with Thanksgiving” Nahum – “The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.” Na 1:5

Through Jesus, you’ve been given access There is a personal investment in finding it You may have to give up things that this world sees as valuable to find more of it You need to make space for it that is God defined, not you defined There is a heart preparation that is necessary, don’t forget it – he’s already given us the pattern

Our Father who is in heaven Holy is Your Name Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven Give us our daily bread Forgive us our debts as we’ve forgiven our debtors Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever
