This self paced interactive learning module will provide you with some best practices for using an interactive Air Slate in any classroom You will be able to describe best classroom scenarios for using interactive Air Slates by end of module You will be able to name how classes can utilize the Air Slate
Air Slates are interactive tools used in the classroom that allow teacher and students to have control of the computer/projector screen without using a mouse They are blank “slates” that utilize an electronic pen to write/draw on projection screen in the classroom
Use as a tool to free them from the computer and projector area of room Stand by students desks as they work Work “hands free” in order to utilize more visual aids/ manipulatives
Use slates to answer questions on the screen Show their work on problems to class Interact live with other class members
Student who are not using the slate work on individual white boards, construction paper, in groups, with manipulatives, etc. Engage students who are waiting for their turn!
Back up plan in case the Slate malfunctions Participation system to ensure all students access the slate during a class day Plan for increase of student response time when writing on the slate
