Donations for Chums By: Jessica Greenwald

Slate Flooring It is very important that the children in Tanzania are in a comfortable space to be educated in. A necessary component of creating this environment is a floor for the classrooms. I chose a slate floor because it is cool and will help to decrease the temperature in the room. $1.58 per square foot

Ceiling Tile $6.95 per tile Having a ceiling that is durable and cool is very important for the rooms at Chumbageni. The current ceiling that they have is extremely torn up and seems to be disintegrating. If they use a ceiling tile as opposed to a panel or dry wall, it will make the room much cooler and will stay intact for a longer period of time.

Writing Implements and Paper $.72 per pencil $.99 per marker It is very important for the students in Tanzania to have paper and writing implements. It is necessary to the learning process to know how to read and write and these products could greatly improve their ability to acquire this knowledge.

Textbooks It is very important that the students in Tanzania have textbooks in order to learn necessary skills. The most useful textbooks include a science, math, English vocabulary, and a world geography book. I decided to add two algebra books of different levels, so that the students can have the option to improve at a faster rate. All text books range from $60.00 to $100.00
