Purpose and Rationale: Students will use proportional analysis to determine and comprehend how to read and create scale drawings. Use an overhead projector to demonstrate scale drawings and proportional size of objects.

Introduce the reading of scale drawings by having students determine the actual size of a room that was drawn to scale. Students will then create their own room additions using the same Scale from the original room.
