Collingwood / Hardwood Hills, Ontario X Country Ski Trip (4 Day Trip) Lodging Cost = $ 150/ person Ski four Groomed Cross Country Ski Areas. Hardwood Hills (30K groomed), Highland Nordic (20 K Groomed), Scenic Caves (20 K Groomed) Wasaga Beach Trails (28 K Groomed). The Lodging is for March 1, 2. & 3rd 2007 at the Sage Resort. We will be staying in a 2, 3 & 4 bedroom Chalets, all have kitchens, fire places and one or two bathrooms, cable TV & DVD’s plus an outdoor Hot Tub is available for our use. This facility is within 30 minutes of all four of the X Country ski facilities. We should be able to walk/ski to the Wasaga beach trails. Due to the long drive, 6 hours on a good day, this trip is set up for 4 days. We will car pool as we normally do.

Georgian Bay – Blue Mountain

Hardwood Hills is one of the few Cross Country areas in North America that have snow making. In addition they have a dedicated non groomed 17 K Snowshoe trail plus Snowshoe rentals. A great opportunity to tryout Snowshoeing. Unfortunately, the Lopet has been moved back a week to March 10th. Highland Nordic, Scenic Caves and Wasaga Beach, offer a combined weekend skiing package for $ 25 Canadian. All resorts noted except Scenic Caves have Cross Country ski rentals and a warming hut. For those who still have energy after skiing and dinner. The town of Wasaga Beach has an outdoor ice skating rink and dining and dancing are available at the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood. About 30 minutes away. Obviously, Travel, Food and Skiing Cost are extra. However, if the group is interested we may make our own meals in our Chalets.
