Key points in the Øresund perspective The Øresund integration is decreasing after a growth period from 2000 – 2008 - the financial crises has stoped the integration. Danes are moving back to Copenhagen. The fixed link has up till today created positive value within the region: 7,6 billion Euro - mostly due to labor comuting across the sound. Growing population in the region and the main cities – Copehagen and Malmø possibilities for a more integrated labor marked need for more housing on both sides need for better infrastructure connecting the core cities
