page 9 What do PhD students expect from GO-GN? 1.Share best OER practices with colleagues and experts around the world. 2.To support the research in OER by young researchers that engage in a PhD trajectory. This will widen the knowledge base on OER and at the same time will result in larger numbers of OER experts on a global scale. Through the membership of GO-GN the experts will develop strong ties that will help them in their work.

page 10 What do PhD students expect from GO-GN? 3.I expect to get a global network to discuss with and which may provoke me to improve my research questions and provide new insights into my research. I also hope to get new friends. 4.Network with ideas and sound boarding of ideas. To hear what others are doing. Some critical reading of drafts 5.Facilitate collaboration with other Ph.D candidates and to provide feedback on research activities. 6.An avenue for global networking and collaboration in related areas of concern.
