10 BRIDGE: HAM R HAM R Costs, MOT, and impacts Total Bridge Costs: $6 Million (8 structures) Lane closures will be in accordance with PLCM, except for bridge work Original scope bridge work – Abutment replacement; 90 day part- width closure; excessive queue. MOTEC, OSE, District, OGE- Benefit to not replace abutment worth Risk. Revised scope bridge work – 2 MOT options 7 day part-width closure PRO’s = Reasonable Cure times, better end product. Not reconstructing abutment saves $230,000 CONS’s = 12 mile queue. Multiple weekend part-width closures; queue is within threshold limits PRO’s = Queue is within threshold or very close to threshold limits. CON’s = Accelerated Construction and reduced Cure, cracking and shorter service life is at risk. Not reconstructing abutment only saves $130,000 District Choice – Weekend closures maintaining one 11’ lane

11 BRIDGE: HAM R Revised HAM R Bridge Scope (Assumes work is limited to weekends only) Changes to scope are shown in orange Remove 1” of original deck and replace with 1 ¾” SDC overlay using weekend overlay specifications. Replace Reface non-crash tested GM shaped barriers. Replace sliding plate expansion joints with strip seal expansion joints including top of backwall and portion of deck. Replace rear abutment that has moved laterally and longitudinally. Widen beam seat by 6”. Relocated bearings forward 3”. Trim beam ends by 2” and set new expansion joint to accommodate 2” of movement. Replace approach slabs using MS Concrete. Construct Pressure Relief Joints. Sleeper slabs may be precast or FS concrete. Seal concrete with EU and paint steel with OZEU.

12 Communications Plan Outlets to Communicate with the Public Establish a webpage for the I-275 project with the following information: Project Timeline Link to sign up for project updates by Project info including closures, detours and alternate routes Contact info for PIO Short videos showing closure/detour routes and what motorists can expect to see when encountering the closures and ease of following detour. Video to be posted a week in advance of any closures/detours. Communications Plan

Social Media Communicate impacts via social media, provide a link to the webpage and link to signing up for updates.
