Why do you think the way you received your invitation positively influenced your decision to join? Public invitation in front of my peers and they all knew that I had been invited The encouragement & acknowledgement from the faculty made me want to join I realized what an honor it is to be invited when only a few of my peers also received invitations

Its a good platform to network. I would encourage them to talk to their business professors about the honor and benefits associated with BGS. Discounts on books!

(main theme responses are shared below) BGS is more than a resume builder. It opens doors in terms of networking and provides other benefits to its members during and after their college experience. It is the highest honor a business student can receive. It really does have good benefits for you now and in the future. It isnt often a students hard work is recognized, and with BGS, you are honored for what you have accomplished – take advantage of it.

Being a member is worth the cost of the lifetime membership fee. You can never have too many leadership and honor positions. There are more benefits than you realize. Take the time to research the society and find its benefits, dont think that its just another honor society and it wont impact your resume.
