Plug the 4 cables from the Sympodium into the laptop, in the order shown:  Electric power  Video monitor  Network connection  Audio connection 2. Log into the control computer; the XPanel Touch Screen of the Sympodium will automatically appear

Select the “Laptop” icon on the XPanel Touch Screen; the screen will indicate that the laptop can now display on the projector 6. Use the XPanel Touch Screen controls to modulate the audio and other features of your laptop The Volume bar will indicate the sound level

Revised FR :25 EST Created TU (c) 2006 Evansdale Library, West Virginia University 17/21 Disconnecting your laptop When you have completed your presentation, you will disconnect your laptop in reverse order First of all, exit your presentation and shut down your laptop Then select the “Podium Computer” icon on the XPanel Touch Screen; the screen will then indicate that the podium desktop can now display on the projector

Revised FR :25 EST Created TU (c) 2006 Evansdale Library, West Virginia University 19/21 Disconnecting your laptop (3/5) Select the “Power Off” icon on the XPanel Touch Screen Select the “Yes” button on the pop up window It will take a minute or so for the Sympodium to power down; the projection screen will automatically be drawn back up into the ceiling unit, and audio and multimedia functions will be curtailed
