This young gun of Bengal with a big dream of being a part of Bollywood and getting a stand amongst the big names in the singing industry, stepped out of ‘The City of Joy’ in the year 2000 to fulfill his dream in the ‘Pagal Nagri’, Mumbai. He started as a dubbing artist for some of the famous singers of the then industry. After a year’s struggle he got his first break as a dubbing artist for Udit Narayan’s voice. He got his first break as a lead singer from the renowned music director- Sanjeev Darshan, the Fame of Mann, Hamara Dil Aap ke Paas, etc.
