Who Am I?

Who Am I? I was a woman who did what God wanted. My husband thought I was unfaithful. In all that happened, my husband stayed with me. God sent me a messenger. My pregnancy was called a wonder. I felt blessed by God. The things said about my son really touched me. I was foretold tragedy. I experienced tragedy.

You Know My Name In English: Mary In Hebrew: Miryam Meaning: “Rebellion”

I was a woman who did what God wanted. Luke 2.22-24, 39 I was a woman who did what God wanted. 22 When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord"[Ex. 13.2,12]), 24and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: "a pair of doves or two young pigeons."[Le. 12.8] 39 When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth.

My husband thought I was unfaithful. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

My pregnancy was called a wonder. Luke 2.33-35 I was foretold tragedy. 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."

John 19.25-27 I experienced tragedy. 25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," 27and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
