WEAK VERBS: Take the stem and add “-te” endings “sag +” ich _____ -tewir ______ -ten du _____ -testihr ______ -tet er/sie/es _____ -te sie/SIE ______ -ten

Add an “e” before the endings if… The stem ends in “d”  Example: schad- Ich schadete mein Auto. The stem ends in “t”  Example: arbeit- Er arbeitete sehr viel.
