Ohio Stats Ohio is ranked 9 th in the nation for abuse rates with 17.4 victims out of every one thousand children. In Ohio 50,000 children are abused every year. 11,421,267

American Stats 3 million children are abused every year 5,000 children die from abusive situations each year 900,000 cases of abuse are substantiated every year 16 children are killed by firearms everyday

American Stats Everyday at least three children will die in abusive situations in America alone! Every ten seconds three children will be abused in America, and only one of these cases will be reported!

World Wide Stats Abuse is the leading cause of death for children under the age of 4 5 million children die in abusive situations every year More than 40 million children are abused every year

War Situations Since the War has begun, the number of children that die every month in Iraq has doubled

How Long Can Suffering Last?

China’s Stats 90% of children experience violent situations in their homes. 1 out of every 7 girls will be physically abused by 16. Cities with greater populations then 10 million only allow 1 child per family.

Africa’s Stats 20% of Africa’s population will never make it to age Missing children reports are filled out each year. 5,000 rapes or sexual assaults are reported each year.

Long Term Effects 2/3 of people who are treated for drug abuse, were abused as children Abused children are 59% more likely to be arrested as a juvenile 28% more likely to be arrested as an adult 30% more likely to commit violent crimes 80% of abused children meet diagnostic criteria for at least one psychiatric disorder by age 21 i.e. depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ptsd

Long Term Effects 75% of high school dropouts were abused as children 1/3 of people who experienced abuse will abuse their own children 14.4% of men and 36.7% of women imprisoned were abused as children

Comparisons This year the Super Bowl Stadium held 75,000 people Each year in America 900,000 children are abused That equals out to 12 Super Bowl stadiums full of abused children

Sylvania Northview 1500 children die of abusive situations each year. Northview has an enrollment of Picture Northview’s entire student body dying due to child abuse.
