EDUCATIONAL GOALS Develop Project Management Skills  Leadership, planning, business-related Exposure to Multi-Disciplinary Teams  Electrical, mechanical, marine, business Exposure to Solar Energy Application  Panels, batteries, motors, controls Develop Systems Integration Outlook  Design, construction, testing, funding Provide International Education Experience  Promoting collaboration, diversity and gaining life learning skills that are essential to engineering/technology program goals

COMPETITION FORMAT ( 5 DAY EVENT: Wed – Sun ) ENGINEERING DESIGN ( 150 points ):  Design report submitted (~May 1 st )  Poster presentation  Workmanship BOAT COMPETITIONS ( 850 points ):  Qualifying: Maneuverability & Sprint  Slalom  Sprint ( 300 meters)  Endurance ( 2 times 2 hours)

COMPETITION “Happenings” ( 5 DAY EVENT: Wed – Sun ) WEDNESDAY - register, begin technical inspection, attend Opening Reception. THURSDAY – continue Tech Inspections and run Qualifying Events FRIDAY – run Slalom Race and 300-meter Sprint Heats SATURDAY – run 4-hour Endurance Event SUNDAY – run Final Sprint Events and attend Awards Ceremony
