BIOME / ECOSYSTEM Our Earth’s major life zones. A Biome is a place on Earth. Another word for place is Environment

EARTH Not all places on Earth are the same.

ANIMALS Not all places have the same animals.

PLANTS Not all places have the same plants.

CLIMATE Not all places have the same climate. Another word for climate is temperature.

Desert Biome The Desert is hot and dry. The Desert has different types of cactus. The Desert has Camels. The Desert has snakes. The Desert has scorpions.

Forest Biome The Forest has rain. The Forest has trees. The Forest has Mountain Lions. The Forest has Bears. The Forest has waterfalls

Aquatic Marine Biome This is the ocean. It has salty water. The Ocean has Octopus’. The Ocean has Sharks. The Ocean has Whales. The Ocean has Jellyfish. The Ocean has a beach.

Aquatic Fresh Water Biome Ponds and Lakes, Rivers and Streams This water is fresh. You can drink this water. Fresh water has fish. Fresh water has frogs. Fresh water has ducks. Fresh water has dragon flies. Fresh water has mosquitoes that bite you.
