The General tab allows you to assign a UPC Number, define the item to an Item Group or Item Type, associate an image with the item, define the unit of measure you wish to use with the item, and identify the item as requiring a lot or serial number. The General tab will also let you assign a bill of materials to an item you wish to set up as a kit.

The VICSQL Purchase Order Screen enables users to purchase from their vendors through a similar interface to order entry. Based on the vendor you choose, their vendor codes will appear on the purchase order. Again, all purchase orders can be exported to accounting.
