Hoy es martes. Es el 15 de abril La pregunta: Lean la información de las islas Galápagos en la p Contesten estas preguntas.  What is another name for the Galapagos islands?  Where are they located?  What famous naturalist spent time there studying the islands unique animal life?  What are Galápagos? La tarea: ¡Disfruta la semana!

Las metas: Students will recall previously learned cultural information about the Galapagos Islands El plan de hoy: Los Galápagos El video: “Galapagos: Jeff Corwin Experience” La tarea: ¡Disfruta la semana!

Los Galápagos

“Galapagos: Jeff Corwin Experience”  Jeff follows the evolutionary footsteps of Charles Darwin in the archipelago known as Galapagos, where he encounters marine and land iguanas, giant tortoise, as well as a whole new species that has evolved since Darwin's time.

“Galapagos: Jeff Corwin Experience” El video – Galapagos: Jeff Corwin Experience Mientras que miramos, contesten estas preguntas:  What is the difference between marine and land iguanas?  Why is it important for penguins to take good care of their feathers?  What is an interesting characteristic of the marine iguanas of Española?  What will determine whether the cross between a marine and land iguana will survive? (42:26)

 What is the difference between marine and land iguanas?  Why is it important for penguins to take good care of their feathers?  What is an interesting characteristic of the marine iguanas of Española?  What will determine whether the cross between a marine and land iguana will survive? “Galapagos: Jeff Corwin Experience” Marine iguanas get their food from the ocean; land iguanas live off the land. A half-inch thick layer of very dense feathers is all the protection the penguins have from the cold waters that surround the Galápagos They have different colors. If the animal can reproduce, it may survive.
