Illegaly batted ball Only when batter hits ball with: –entire foot completely out box on the ground Even when he steps with entire foot completely out box and returns to contact the ball while inside the box. – Any part of his foot touching home plate –altered bat –illegal bat

Foul tip Batted ball –Directly from bat to cather’s hand –Not higher than batter’s head –If legally caught by cather is always a strike The ball is in play
