Definition of Checkout Checkout is a training method which:  Allows the mentor and disciple to know what “Mastery” is  Gives the disciple opportunity to practice skills in simulated and practical situations as well as providing immediate feedback from the mentor, focused on improvement

Purpose of Checkout A To help the disciple strive for “mastery” in ministry B To help the disciple reach the level of ability necessary to be considered adequately trained. C To help prepare the disciple to be a mentor of others

The Mentor’s Responsibility in Checkout Cleary communicate assignments Help disciples apply ministry skills in real life situations Maintain a proper attitude toward the training experience Not all disciples are alike, adjust your training according to their bent
